Step-by-Step Guide on Applying Strip Lashes

Step 1:  Gently Remove the Lashes from the Tray

Strip lashes are delicate. To keep their shape, use tweezers to lift from the outer edge. Pull from the band, not the lash fibers. Bend the lash slightly to soften the band for easier placement. This keeps the curl and ensures the lash lays smoothly on the eye.

Step 2: Measure & Trim the Lash Band

Strip lashes rarely fit perfectly straight out of the box. Hold the lash strip against your eyelid without glue. Trim off where it extends past your outer corner. Slightly round or flex the band to match your natural eye shape. Correct sizing ensures comfort and prevents lifting throughout the day.

Step 3: Apply Glue to the Lash Band

Proper glue placement is what makes strip lashes look natural instead of bulky. Apply glue on top of the lash band, not underneath. This makes the band sit naturally over your lash line and prevents a shadow or gap. Add a little extra glue to the inner and outer corners — these areas lift the fastest. Allow the glue to get tacky for 20–30 seconds before applying. For extra hold, you can also apply a thin line of glue to your upper eyelid where the band will sit.

Step 4: Curl Your Natural Lashes

This step creates the base that blends seamlessly with the strip. Use a lash curler to lift your natural lashes straight up. Your natural lashes should sit underneath the strip so they don’t poke downward.

Step 5: Apply the Strip Lashes

Apply with the lashes going at an upward angle to help make the eyes appear lifted and open. Hold the lash strip with tweezers, angled upward. Place the center of the lash down first. Then secure the inner and outer corners. Keep the band slightly above your natural lash line for a cleaner look.

Step 6: Blend & Perfect the Look

To make your strip lashes look completely seamless, press the lashes together. Use tweezers or your fingers to gently pinch your natural lashes and the strip lashes at the base. Curl both sets together (optional). Use a lash curler at the roots only to combine the natural and false lashes without bending the strip. Fill in any gaps with eyeliner. Use black or brown liner to fill in any visible spaces between the lash band and your natural lash line.

Step 7: Repeat on the Other Eye

Q: Why won't my inner/outer corners stick?

Q: Should I apply mascara before or after?

Mascara can help to blend the natural lashes with the false lashes, but we typically don't recommend wearing mascara to avoid clumping the strip lashes. If you prefer to wear mascara still, we recommend applying beforehand.
