A Comprehensive Guide to Lash Tools

A Comprehensive Guide to Lash Tools

Introduction

Tweezers, glue, remover, eyelash curlers—you name it. There are so many different lash tools available that you might wonder if they’re really necessary. Why can’t you just grab some glue, use your fingers, and call it a day? While applying lashes with minimal tools is possible, understanding the purpose and benefits of the right tools can significantly improve your lash application process. Let’s dive into the essential lash tools and how they can elevate your lash game.

Lash Tweezers

Slanted Tweezers

Slanted tweezers are the most common type of tweezers that you likely already have in your beauty kit. Designed to pluck eyebrows or other stray hairs, the slant allows you to get your tweezers close to the base of your hair for precise plucking. While they can work in a pinch for eyelashes, they are not nearly as effective or precise as other types of tweezers.

Curved Tweezers

Curved eyelash tweezers are essential tools for lash technicians applying lash extensions or for classic lash applications. Its shape makes it easier to pick up lashes from the case without damaging them. Available with short or longer tip, these tweezers offer the precision needed for placing individual lashes. The L shape also helps with clamping false lashes to the natural eyelashes.

Our eyelash tweezers with a shorter tip are more well suited for styles with a shorter lash band, such as our 70PCs Little Devil Lashes or our 80PCs Tower Top Lashes. These tweezers offer precise hold of these shorter lash bands.

For the eyelash tweezers with a longer tip, these are more well suited for styles with a longer lash band, such as our 100PCs Butterfly Lashes or our 100PCs Fantasy Lashes. With the longer tip, you can hold the entire lash band without risking pulling part of a lash off! Ultimately, the tweezer you use depends on your preference.

Straight Tweezers

Similar to curved tweezers, straight tweezers are ideal for lash technicians applying lash extensions, especially for lash placement, inner, and outer corners. In order to isolate individual natural eyelashes, its essential to have these types of lash tools.

Lash Glue

Daily Lash Glue

Our Daily Lash Glue is latex-free, making it perfect for those with sensitive eyes. Designed for daily use, this glue is strong, quick-drying, with all day hold. While it has a milky consistency in the bottle, it dries transparent for a seamless, natural look. Remember, a little goes a long way! The brush tip makes it easy to use minimal amount of product and for applying thin layers on lash bands.

Bond & Seal

Our Bond & Seal is designed to lock lashes in for continuous wear for 4-7+ days. The bond actually contains the same formula as our Daily Lash Glue, but the key difference is in the applicator as it features a mascara-like wand for easy application directly at the root of the eyelashes. The seal locks the glue in to make your lashes water, sweat, tears, and wind-proof. If you want to save time in your morning routine and wake up with perfect lashes, this one is for you.

Permanent Lash Adhesive

Permanent lash adhesive is designed for lash extensions, ensuring long-lasting wear. These adhesives have a retention of up to 6-8 weeks and cannot be removed with normal makeup remover. These types of lash adhesive have fast drying time. However, the fumes of these types of lash adhesives can cause eye sensitivities, hence why it is not recommended to be used at home. Avoid using this unless you are a certified lash technician.

Eyelash Curlers

Partial Eyelash Curler

The partial eyelash curler is designed to target specific sections of your lashes, effortlessly reaching the inner and outer corners that standard curlers often miss. It creates beautifully curled lashes with precision. It’s also perfect for pressing your lashes together, after lash application.

Eyelash Curler

Eyelash curlers are designed to create a beautiful curl in your lashes for the perfect lash prep. It creates the ideal base for applying any false lashes, ensuring that you have a seamless look. Curling your lashes prevents them from being weighed down and enhances an open-eye look. Different eyelash curlers on the market can be made of different materials or designed for different types of eye shapes. Pro Tip: Heating your eyelash curler with a hair dryer or lighter (be sure it’s not too hot to burn yourself!) can help provide a longer-lasting curl and are great for stubborn straight lashes.

Remover

Eyelash Glue Remover

While any makeup remover can work, our lash glue remover is specifically formulated to dissolve lash glue easily with an oil-based formula. This makes the removal process painless and prevents damage to your natural lashes while simultaneously nourishing them. The wand makes application easy so that you can directly apply the remover where you previously applied lash glue.

Miscellar Water

Miscellar water is designed to cleanse skin, remove makeup, and is suitable for sensitive skin. It also helps maintain moisture in the skin without stripping it. However, when it comes to removing lashes, it may not break down strong adhesives well.

General Makeup Remover

Other general makeup remover products may be water-based which can quickly and gently remove makeup. These types of remover are great for everyday use and rinsing your makeup easily without any oil. While great for face makeup or removal of lip products, this type of makeup remover is not ideal for dissolving eyelash glues either.

Other Lash Tools

Lash Applicator

If you struggle with lash application, an Eyelash Applicator is great for beginners, helping you place lashes more easily and accurately. This lash tool simplifies the process of applying lashes. The curve of the applicator follows your natural eyeshape allowing the application to be done in one smooth step.

Lash Brushes/Spoolies

Lash bruises/spoolies are essential for lash extension maintenance. It can also be used to remove clumps after mascara application, or brush out eyebrows.

Conclusion

While it’s not necessary to buy every new lash tool on the market, having the right ones can make your lash application quicker, easier, and more precise. Whether you’re a beginner or a lash pro, investing in quality lash tools can elevate your beauty routine and help you achieve flawless results every time.
